We've played thousands of gigs since 1995, most within a 35-mile radius of the Gateway Arch, for crowds as big as 35,000 people.

But don't let that fool you into thinking we're strictly a "St. Louis Band." We've hauled gear to Kirksville, Columbia, Cape Girardeau, and Effingham, sometimes driving 500 miles in a weekend all for the love of rock 'n roll.

Why the name Surrender Dorothy?

Why the name Surrender Dorothy?

• It's a sly reference to a crazy dude in Martin Scorsese's terrific black comedy, "After Hours."
• The singer's wife suggested it after seeing billboards for "Wizard of Oz on Ice."
• It sounded good at the time.
